MITO Changelog: September 2026

Everything that shipped this month, in one place. Each entry links to the full story where there is one.

Everything that shipped in MITO in September. New things first, then models, then what is leaving.

New in the app

MITO on your phone

Check a render in the coffee queue, fix a prompt on the train, then pick the project back up on desktop where you left it. Projects, chats and Director all work on a phone now, with a docked bottom tab bar, a grid view for projects, a Profile tab and a short tour the first time you open it.

Avatar Studio

Make an avatar from a photo you pick, give it a voice cloned straight from the voice picker, and get the take back at the aspect ratio you asked for. The History tab lists every take the workspace has made, with the model, the credits and the prompt behind each one. HEIC photos work, so pictures off an iPhone go in as they are.

Workspace generations

One gallery for everything your workspace has made. Filter it, open an asset in a detail drawer, see the model and prompt and credits that produced it, copy it into another project, share it, or empty it out of the trash for good. It opens on what you made yourself.

Roles, members and sharing

New roles for guests, a rebuilt project share modal that explains them, and member management inside the workspace. Shares are anchored to the workspace now, which means an avatar take can be shared like anything else.

Billing without leaving MITO

Change your plan inside the app rather than in the Stripe portal. Your current plan appears on the account settings page, and the credit sliders open on the middle tier instead of the bottom.

Prompt Packs

Ready-made prompts, each one shown next to the video it produced. Copy a prompt, drop your own product into it, and recreate the shot. Five volumes so far, from product ads to device launches.

Tutorials on YouTube

Short practical walkthroughs, from a first project through to avatars and cinematography. Most run five to fifteen minutes, and they are free.

Credit packs

Top up for a big week without changing your plan, so a month with three productions in it does not need a different subscription.

We introduced Director properly

Director has been working on real productions inside MITO Studio for a long time. In September we finally wrote down what it is and how it decides.

Introducing Director →

Smaller things

  • Automatic model selection names the axis it optimised for and gives its reason in the tooltip.
  • Drag and drop image references straight into a new image.
  • Ask Director to upscale an image or a video.
  • Long messages in the Director chat collapse behind Show more.
  • Pick a dark, light or system theme from the avatar menu.
  • A new video keeps the prompt and references you submitted.

Models

MiniMax H3 Max

A video model for shots that have to carry weight, with reference constraints to hold a subject steady.

What H3 Max is for →

Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash

Show it real footage as a motion reference instead of describing the movement, then direct the character, the world and the camera around it. New video prompts default to it.

Stop describing movement →

ChatGPT Images 2.5

Flare and Sunburst, two models with different jobs. Flare explores fast. Sunburst protects what you already approved.

Which one to use →

Google Lyria 3.5

Instrumental and vocal music generation, with the target duration set from the footer menu.

Scoring a video with AI →

ElevenLabs voices

The voice picker now lets you choose the voice model, with the ElevenLabs models grouped together.
