Everyday scenes gone wrong — Vol. 1

We open tight on the plastic panda bear's glossy face in close-up, waddling calmly down the sidewalk, completely unaware. A massive shadow slowly creeps across its rigid face. The camera whip-pans around the plastic panda bear's shoulder into an over-the-shoulder shot, revealing what it sees: towering above the Tokyo street is the giant inflatable kawaii cat, its huge soft body swaying and bouncing as it crushes a parked Japanese taxi flat beneath one paw. Awnings tear, a vending machine snaps and sprays cans, and Tokyo pedestrians scatter and scream. The plastic plastic panda bear turns stiffly and begins to waddle-sprint away. The handheld camera chases behind and beside it, weaving through fleeing pedestrians, ducking under a swinging sign as it crashes down, skidding past an overturned ramen cart. The camera racks focus back to the giant giant inflatable kawaii cat mid-stride — it crushes a delivery van like a toy, sending it spinning across the asphalt. Focus snaps back to the plastic plastic panda bear, waddling with urgency. The giant inflatable kawaii cat's massive paw slams down just behind the plastic panda bear, the shockwave rippling puddles and knocking a newsstand sideways. The plastic panda bear cuts across an intersection as a car horn blares — a sedan skids sideways, swerving to miss the plastic panda bear by inches. The plastic plastic panda bear stumbles, catches its balance, and dives toward the entrance of a convenience store (Konbini) just as the car clips a trash can where it had been standing. The sliding door chimes. The plastic plastic panda bear presses its rigid back against the glass, staring blankly back out at the giant inflatable giant inflatable kawaii cat chaos still unfolding in the Tokyo street behind it. The camera holds on the plastic panda bear's shiny face, then slowly turns to frame the destruction outside.
