Mission of the Role

  • We're looking for one of our earliest engineers to help build the platform that will redefine video production. You'll join the engineering team at a pivotal moment — when decisions and contributions still have massive impact.
  • This is not just executing tasks. You'll have real ownership across the stack and help shape the product from its earliest versions.

What You'll Do

  • Design and build: Lead development from the canvas-based frontend to the AI model orchestration backend.
  • Solve complex challenges: Tackle unique technical challenges in generative AI, real-time collaboration, and video workflows.
  • Define the tech stack: Make key decisions about architecture and technologies.
  • Collaborate with product and design: Work in a multidisciplinary team to iterate quickly.
  • Build culture: Help lay the foundation of our engineering culture, promoting best practices, quality, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Strong foundation in software engineering and experience building complex products.
  • Object-Oriented Programming & Architecture: Clean, modular, and scalable architectures.
  • Engineering Best Practices: CI/CD pipelines and automated tests (unit, integration, e2e).
  • Java Ecosystem: Experience with Spring Boot and GraalVM.
  • APIs & Distributed Systems: REST APIs, microservices, and large distributed systems.
  • Design Patterns: DDD, CQRS, and event-driven architectures.
  • Databases: Hands-on experience with Postgres and Redis.
  • Containerization: Proficient with Docker and Linux.
  • Emerging Technologies: Interest in generative AI, LLMs, LangChain, RAG pipelines.

Nice to Have

  • Frontend: Experience with React, TypeScript, React Query, Tailwind, and Shadcn.
  • Infrastructure: Knowledge of AWS or Google Cloud and Terraform.
  • Rapid prototyping and high-ownership work style.
