The Challenge
This is a focused creative exercise. We’re not looking for perfection, we’re looking for direction, taste, and intent.
What you need to create?
One cinematic micro-film
Duration: 15–30 seconds (hard limit)
Format: 16:9
Audio: Sound design or music allowed. Minimal. Cinematic.
Text on screen: Optional. If used, max 1 line total.
Visual constraints
Your piece must be sea-coded. Choose one or more of the following environments:
Underwater
Water surface
Shoreline
Wet sand
Foam
Saltwater textures
Look & mood
Muted, hazy, low contrast
Dusk or overcast light
Analog, imperfect feel
Camera language
Intimate
Documentary
Inside the action
No glossy, stock-looking shots.
Narrative structure (mandatory)
Your film must clearly include these three beats:
Submerge
Enter the water, go under, or cross the surface.Decision

MITO is still under construction. Some things will fail, some flows will be rough. That's not a bug in this process. It's the point. We are building with creators, not "for users".
